2012
Wear rare - we had our rare breed portland wool spun at a mill in Yorkshire and knitted by a local group at our Farmers' Market. Charmingly modeled by Amber! Hanks of wool are available to buy.
Special 1 year birthday Benji and Hendrix(Jaz's pup) are 1 year old born within 30 minutes of each other.
Hendrix is nannying Benji pulling him back by his nappy when he strays too far.

15th January NEW LIFE
Our 3rd Grandchild and Jaz’s 3rd litter of puppies were born within 30 minutes of each other!

Spring Bank Lodges appear in '5 best half-term breaks' - see Guardian.
Added 5 new breeds of hen to the farm.
Gold Laced and Buff Wyandottes, Black and Gold Silkies and blue-egg laying Cream legbars.
2008
Following the annual Visit Britain Quality in Tourism assessment Springbank Lodges have been upgraded to 4*. The Assessor commented "the owners are to be congratulated on the provision of very well equipped and comfortable accommodation in this peaceful rural setting."
St Bees Head

RSPB reserve voted one of the top places to spot porpoises and dolphins by BBC Wildlife Magazine, (See guests comments), Fulmars, Kittiwakes, Cormorants etc. nesting in April and May.
