Springbank Lodges

This web site is being converted to a WordPress site so please bear with the few oddities you may find as we tidy it up. Better than saying “come back later”!

Welcome to Springbank Farm. Farming for wildlife and rare breeds.
Relax in our spacious log cabins. The perfect holiday hide away.

  • We have designed the lodges to be as accessible as possible (see accessibility page).
  • We have been awarded 4* self catering by Visit England.
  • We have joined the National Accessible Scheme.
  • We have M2(I) Mobility, H1 Hearing Impairment and V1 Visual Impairment.

The Lodges provide a wonderful base to explore the West Cumbria Coast and all it has to offer. (www.visitcumbria.com)
It is close to the mystical Western Fells and the Valleys of Wastwater and Ennerdale. The highest mountain (Scafell) and the deepest lake (Wastwater) are within a short drive.

Springbank Lodges are close to the attractive village of St Bees with its renowned beach and coastline.

There are a number of pubs in the village, most offering food, and also a Beach Cafe, where you can get daytime meals.

The historic Priory is well worth a visit and the village is the start of the famous Wainwright Coast to Coast Walk.

There are many cycle ways and walks (see Local Walks) close by including C2C, the cross-England cycleway.

Nearby is the Georgian town of Whitehaven, with visitor attractions such as the marina, the Beacon Visitor Centre and the Rum Story.

It is a short drive from St Bees and it can also be reached from the village by train and bus.
